12 weeks to pre-active moving
Join this 5 week active, engaging course to learn numerous poses, gentle movement and stretches for baby in a friendly, fun environment, taking the opportunity to nourish a strong bond between you and your little one. These tailored sessions will cover a variety of swings and hold each week adapted to baby's developmental stage, along to music and nursery rhymes. To aid relaxation you will also be encouraged to practice dry massage and gentle yoga inspired poses yourself.
The course is suitable for babies from 12 weeks to pre-active moving, and focuses on parent's wellbeing as well as baby's.

You will be led by a qualified Midwife and Health Visitor and also treated to lots of special extras!

The duration of most classes is around 45minutes, plus 15minutes to socialise and discuss all things parent and baby at the end! You will be able to benefit from my over 10 years experience caring for women, babies and families and from discussions with like-minded parents at the classes, often with a mix of first and second time parents.

All sessions are delivered at a luxury venue The Loft at Rutland Nursery, with ample parking, pram friendly walkways and known for it's amazing restaurant/café with beautiful views over Rutland where you can choose to settle before or after the class.

Benefits of Baby Yoga​​​​​​​​​

These classes will provide a space for you to support your baby's physical and emotional development.
There are many benefits of baby yoga classes for you and your baby;
Baby; Develops balance and co-ordination, strengthens muscles, opportunity for active play and tummy time, aids rhythm and language development, boosts positive attachment, improves digestion and soothes discomfort.
You; Increased confidence in handling baby and recognising their needs, protected time to bond with your baby, relax, socialising opportunities with other parents, increased oxytocin levels.

The sessions are made with baby in mind. Throughout the class we will be observing baby to ensure they are calm and happy. Please respond to whatever your baby needs. It is a judgement-free zone with an understanding that your baby may be unsettled during the sessions. Please DO NOT worry if your baby cries, needs feeding, changing, cuddling or sleeps throughout!

What to bring?​
​​
​A mat and blanket will also be available for use during the sessions. Babies are comforted by familiar smells so bringing your own blanket or muslin cloth for baby can help them to settle. Comfort is best for Baby Yoga, you and baby may want to wear stretchy, soft clothing to enable movement. Keeping hydrated is also important, water and cups will be provided but you may choose to bring your own bottle. Along with anything else you may need/would keep in your change bag. There is space in the venue to leave prams, however you may choose to carry your baby in their car seat, carrier or in arms to the venue from the car park.
To ensure the babies maintain their temperature the room needs to be kept warm, so wearing layers that are removable would be recommended.
